Teammates, but now on the opposite side.
Kaio Jorge, Mati Soulé and Enzo Barrenechea are enjoying a good season on loan at Frosinone, and might very well take to the field against their Bianconeri teammates when Juventus line up at the Benito Stirpe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Here's a look at each player's progress so far:
KAIO JORGE
After his debut, in December, as a starter in Serie A, his very first league goal also arrived just last week, on Saturday, 16 December: Frosinone were up against Lecce, and shortly after the half-hour mark, the Ciociari were awarded a penalty in their favour, with the real possibility of equalling matters after the home team had taken the lead.
Soulè gave the ball directly to his teammate, and Kaio did the rest, kicking the spot kick wonderfully: a strong, angled and diagonal strike, with the inside of his right foot, leaving no chance for Falcone who had guessed the right way, but was unable to get there.
Kaio has made seven appearances so far in the league, and one in the Italian Cup (with an assist to his name).
MATI SOULÉ
The numbers speak for Mati: he has participated (total shots + chances created) in 72 shots so far this season: fewer only than Matteo Politano (73) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (77) in Serie A, and at least 50 more than any other Frosinone player (Luca Mazzitelli, 22). No player in the league has created more chances than him (39, like Matteo Politano), while the Argentine is also one of the two players who has hit the woodwork the most (four, like Jovane Cabral).
Add to this figure, 14 appearances, six goals and one assist in the league, coupled with one appearance in the Italian Cup.
ENZO BARRENECHEA
Let's start from the end also for Enzo, who in the last match played, in Naples, a few days before this weekend's clash against Juve, in the Italian Cup, scored his first goal for Frosinone. A splendid header from a corner from the left which, in the 65th minute, put Frosinone ahead, silencing the Maradona Stadium as they knocked the hosts out of the Cup.
Enzo has played two matches in the Italian Cup and 15 in the championship, 88% of which he has started.
