The UEFA Women's Champions League 2021/2022 competition has undergone a few changes, with a new format presented today. Today's draw revealed the outcome of the groups that will form one of the two mini competitions in the first preliminary round, called the “Champions path” and the “League Path”.
Juventus Women, who will take part in the “Champions Path”, have been included in Group 8 together with ZFK Kamenica Sasa (North Macedonia), SKN St.Polten Frauen (Austria) and Beşiktaş A.Ş (Turkey). The Bianconere’s first opponent will be Kamenica Sasa - the champions of their respective league - and the match will be played on August 18. The venue for our fixtures will only one and that will be decided in the coming days.
The winner of the match between Juve and Kamenica Sasa will face the team that will emerge victorious from the match between St.Polten Frauen and Beşiktaş A.Ş. This fixture will be played on 21 August (again in the same venue). Whoever triumphs on both occasions will advance to the second preliminary round, which will be a two-legged affair. Whoever wins will qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Women's Champions League.
