After the victory against Sampdoria, Juventus will now put the league on pause and prepare for the Italian Cup. Tomorrow, the Bianconeri will take on Inter in the semifinals at the San Siro, kick-off at 20:45 CET. On the eve of the match, the team worked on their tactics while Coach Andrea Pirlo previewed the fixture to JTV.
“I want to see a team aware of their strength,” declared the Coach. “It will be the first round, because it's a 180-minute game, so tomorrow it will be important to manage it well, because it won't be decisive. The match against Inter in the league taught a lot, first of all, when we are not on the right track, we are not ourselves, but from there we started with great performances.”
Between the qualities of the opponent and the choices available to him, Pirlo had this to say: “I will expect the usual Inter tomorrow, who will try to put their ideas on the field. We know the coach well, so we have been preparing for what can happen tomorrow on the pitch. Inter are very good at closing and breaking away, with fast players: we will have to play a very careful game. We will change something tomorrow, Gigi will return to goal and we will have to do without Ramsey, who yesterday had a slight pull in training, but we hope to get him back for Saturday.”
