Fresh from scoring the winner in Saturday’s 2-1 victory against Milan, Paul Pogba was keen to underline that the Bianconeri still have work to do in their bid to win a fifth-straight Serie A title.
“We’ve not achieved anything yet,” the Frenchman opened. “We still need to win more matches in order to lift the Scudetto. We’re already focused on the next game.”
Commenting on tonight’s performance at the San Siro, Pogba purred: “We showed a great maturity yet again as a side. Even when we fell behind, we stuck to our guns and played the way we know we can and the win came as a result.”
Although the scorer of the night’s decisive goal, Juventus’ number 10 admitted that the individual plaudits belonged instead to inspirational captain and goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon.
“Gigi is simply number one,” he concluded. “He’s the best in the business.”
