After the 1-1 draw against Verona, where Favilli and Kulusevski both got on the scoresheet, coach Pirlo and Aaron Ramsey took the floor to discuss the game. These are their statements:
ANDREA PIRLO
“We had a too much of a wait-and-see approach in the first half, we were not very aggressive with the midfielders and yet the best opportunities had been ours. We reacted after their goal in the second half, but we don't need a slap in the face to wake us up - we have to start with more determination. We knew it would be more difficult than in Kiev, especially due to the intensity that Verona puts on the pitch. Kulusevski came on and did very well, Dybala worked hard for 90 minutes and it was a positive note, Arthur did well in his second match, as did the other midfielders, but we need to improve.”
AARON RAMSEY
“It was a difficult match, they pressed a lot across the field, we went down a goal, but we recovered and tried to win. We are trying to learn a new game system and we need to improve and be balanced. My role? I also try to help cover in defence, that's one of my characteristics. Now, the match against Barcelona awaits us, it will be a difficult one, but we will play here at home and we will have to react to tonight's result and play a great match.”
