Press Room | Comments after Juventus-Empoli

Coach Massimiliano Allegri and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny comment after Saturday night's 1-1 draw with Empoli:

MASSIMILANO ALLEGRI

"The feeling is that the team played a good game, we were down to 10 men after a quarter of an hour, we didn't fall apart but on the contrary, we tried to win this match. We had two good chances in the first half, in the second half we immediately took the lead, then there was another ball where Cambiaso slipped and could have taken a shot, but this is football. You can't win every match, we’re sorry, but the boys played a good match and let's say that there was the unforeseen expulsion which complicated our plans a bit. However, let's congratulate Empoli who were coming off a good victory against Monza. Getting a point today was very important."

WOJCIECH SZCZESNY

“There is a bit of disappointment because when you play at home against Empoli, with all due respect to Empoli, we have to win. Then given how the match went, playing 75 minutes with 10 players is not easy and taking home a point in any case is positive. Last year we lost these matches. One moment went badly for us and we all lost our heads. This year and also in this match we stay united, we conceded little against Empoli who played a good game and we took home a positive point."
