MASSIMILIANO CANZI
“They started better than we did, but we improved our defence and unfortunately we conceded goals on set-pieces, and that's something we have to keep working on. Our approach wasn’t wrong, but we failed to capitalise on chances we created, and at an international level, you pay for that. Regardless of events, it’s the result that counts, and Bayern Munich won 2-0, but I would talk more about their merits than our mistakes. Having said that, we were in the game until the end and that gives us confidence going forward; we will build on our performance. We are also happy that Lisa Boattin is back from injury, as she’s very important for us: it is good to know that she is available.”
ARIANNA CARUSO
“We had some problems at the start. We recovered, but we didn't manage to follow through on chances and we were punished on two set-pieces. Bayern are a great team and we congratulate them. On a physical level, there was some degree of tiredness because we only played recently, and we simply weren't clinical enough, but I'm happy with our performance. Before Arsenal, we have a big Serie A game against Inter; I’m sure we will build on tonight as we prepare for that.”
AMALIE VANGSGAARD
“We played well against a great team like Bayern Munich; maybe we were a bit unlucky but it happens. Now our focus moves to the next game, against another strong opponent, Inter.”
