Primavera midfielder Mattia Vitale pounced at the death to bring all three points home from this afternoon’s away trip to Virtus Entella, a result which strengthens the team’s grip on fourth place in the championship.
Expressing his delight at the final whistle, coach Fabio Grosso said: “I’m very happy, I’d like to congratulate my players and also Entella, who gave us a good run for our money this afternoon.
“Our first half performance was excellent and credit to the lads for the way they kept believing right until the end.”
Grosso will now fix his young guns’ minds on their next encounter, with another Liguria-based outfit, Genoa, providing the opposition on Saturday in Ivrea.
