Juventus fans were able to enjoy an extra special live stream on our Twitch channel today, with Adrien Rabiot chatting to supporters after recently signing his renewal in Turin and getting back to work at Continassa.
Rabiot's renewal
It was inevitable that Adrien spoke about recently signing a new deal with Juventus, explaining the reasons that led to him staying with the Bianconeri.
"It's not a secret, [Massimiliano] Allegri cared a lot and he spoke to me a lot during the season and even while I was on vacation," Rabiot said. "But the whole team and all of the staff showed me a lot of affection, from [Federico] Cherubini to Giovanni Manna - it was really nice.
"And then the fans too. Their help and support is very important, and it has been in my time here. They really make me feel their support and I like to stop and speak to them when I can. We're all working together, pulling in the same direction and defending these same colours. It's important to feel that closeness with them."
The question of all questions was finally put to Rabiot, with the Frenchman asked if he was happy with his nickname.
"Yes," Adrien said. "I like horses as animals. They're strong, good runners and they're intelligent."
Football, in Rabiot's eyes
Adrien enjoyed a good 2022/23 season with Juventus.
"I scored a lot of goals and I'm happy about that. But football isn't just a matter of numbers, so you can have a good season even if you don't score or assist very much."
Timothy Weah is the newest face around Continassa this summer, and Rabiot has had words with him already.
"I told Weah that this is a special club. For a footballer, joining Juventus is an important step in terms of the work that's required, the mentality, and here you have to work a lot to be constantly improving."
