Following Juventus' 2-1 win over Monza in the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy, goal scorers Filippo Ranocchia and Dejan Kulusevski, as well as Massimiliano Allegri, commented on the game and how things are going in pre-season.
MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI
“We got minutes under our belts so it was a useful, interesting friendly. It's a shame about the goal we conceded but the lads did well. We gave the ball away a bit too often. They're still young, though: we have to teach them to be a bit more clever.
“Kulusevski has great potential. He needs to make more runs into the box and play more aggressively but he's got time on his side.
“[Nicolo] Fagioli is looking good. He impressed in the second half. He's come on a lot in the last few years. We'll sit down with the club to decide what's best for him.
“Ramsey looked good in front of the defence and cut out a lot passes. I think that's an area of the field where he can play a key role for us.”
DEJAN KULUSEVSKI
“We won and that's important for a start but the first game back is never easy.
“I enjoy working with Allegri. I'm learning a lot and I like that – especially defensively. I'm learning things I didn't know before.
“Last year didn't go the way we wanted, although we still managed to get into the Champions League and win two trophies. This year we'll be looking to win the title.”
FILIPPO RANOCCHIA
“It's an amazing feeling to score for the first team. I often try to shoot from long range in training and I'm glad it went in. I've trained very hard to shoot with both feet so it's nice to see it pay off.
“We youngsters are learning so much in pre-season. We're training with some of the best players in the world. It''s a fantastic learning curve to be on.
“I'm working on maintaining my focus throughout the game and on the defensive side of my game – I've been doing a lot of that the last few weeks.
“What's surprised me most about Allegri? He wants us to play it forward quickly and get balls in behind the opposition backline.”
