An impressive number. An incredible figure. Last night, in the Euro 2020 qualifying match between Ukraine-Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 700th all-time goal. It came in the 72nd minute after a penalty kick, converted by CR7 with his usual coolness. However, the goal was not enough for his Portugal side to avoid defeat in Kiev, as the home side won 2-1. Despite that, yesterday's match will remain in the history of football: because the milestone achieved by the number 7 is truly special.
During his career, Ronaldo has scored in 21 different official competitions, with 442 goals coming with the right foot, 129 with the left, 127 with the head. In the Juventus shirt he has scored 32 goals in 51 official matches.
At the same time, in Group H, Blaise Matuidi's France and Merih Demiral's Turkey faced each other in Paris. The match ended 1-1, with Matuidi on the field for 77 minutes with Demiral playing the full 90.
