Samuel Mbangula, one of the young stars of the start of Juventus’ season, has signed a contract renewal with Juventus. The Belgian winger has signed an agreement that will keep him with the Bianconeri until 30 June 2028.
A renewal that is further confirmation of his impressive development at Juventus, which began in the youth academy and saw him make his first team debut at the start of the 2024/25 season.
Club Brugge were the first to notice the young Belgian talent who was born in 2004, then followed by Anderlecht - with whom he played for the Under 18s – before ending up at Juventus, who decided to bring him to Italy in the summer 2020.
Mbangula's journey in the Juventus academy began four years ago, first making five appearances for the Under-17s and then going on to make 57 appearances in the Primavera – with whom he also played seven UEFA Youth League matches - scoring 12 goals and registering five assists.
The 2023/24 season saw him make the transition to the professional ranks, joining Juventus Next Gen, with whom he showed off his skills whilst making 25 appearances, maturing enough to convince coach Thiago Motta to add him to the first-team squad at the start of this summer's pre-season preparations.
Trust that was repaid by Mbangula on his debut during the first match of the season, when he lined up as a starter in the first match of his Serie A career, and scored after just 23 minutes of play and he has since gone on to make four senior appearances already this season.
Also involved in the national team, Mbangula has gone through the whole youth set up with Belgium from the Under-15s up to the Under-21s - for whom he has already made four appearances in recent months.
Now he is ready to take on many new challenges, always in bianconero: congratulations, Samuel!
