Sunday, 13 October, was a day to remember for the Juventus Women’s First Team, claiming a 2-1 win over Roma at the Allianz Stadium that was as important as it was special. It was the first time the Bianconere played a Serie A match at the Allianz Stadium since 2019.
Barbara Bonansea and Sofia Cantore got the goals for Juventus, and Estelle Cascarino and Emma Kullberg also stood out for their excellent performances at the back.
Below are the standout stats from Sunday afternoon's clash in Turin:
- Juventus’ win on Sunday was their 16th over Roma in all competitions - only winning more times (17) against Fiorentina.
- The BIanconere have scored in 16 straight Serie A matches against Roma, and have only managed longer scoring streaks against Sassuolo (17) and Fiorentina (18).
- Sunday’s win was Juventus’ ninth straight Serie A success, not managing a longer run since winning 36 games on the bounce between February 2020 and January 2022.
- Estelle Cascarino, who assisted Barbara Bonansea’s opener, has more assists than any other Serie A defender this season with her three. Taking all position into consideration, only Veronica Boquete (five) has more than Cascarino. She also has more assists in five outings this season alone than in her previous 41 appearances in Europe’s top-five leagues.
- Barbara Bonansea’s goal was her 61st for Juventus, and only Cristiana Girelli (87) has more for the Bianconere.
- Sofia Cantore scored her sixth goal of the season, and she is Juventus’ top scorer this season (six goals) with at least twice as many goals as any of her teammates.
- Beyond her goal, Sofia Cantore was the player to have had the highest pass completion rate of any Juventus player against Roma in the final third - 90%.
