Romelu Lukaku’s opener was cancelled out by Gleison Bremer’s headed equaliser, as Roma-Juventus finished 1-1 at the Olimpico on Sunday night.
The Brazilian defender dominates the post-match stats:
- As of his first Serie A goal (2019/20), Bremer is the defender who has scored the most headed goals in Europe's top five leagues: 13 (including the last seven in a row), at least two more than any other peer in the period.
- Bremer has scored all of his last seven Serie A goals with his head – the last player to score multiple consecutive goals with his head in Serie A was Giulio Migliaccio (nine) between May 2009 and February 2015.
- Before Bremer, the last Juventus defender to score a headed goal against Roma in a Serie A match was Giorgio Chiellini, in December 2011.
- It was since February-March 2012 that Juventus had not drawn four consecutive Serie A matches (with Antonio Conte on the bench in that case).
- It was a 250th appearance, in all competitions, with Juventus for Wojciech Szczesny.
