Juventus Women welcome Inter to Biella on Matchday 8 of this Serie A season for 2023/24's first Derby d'Italia, and it's one of real importance for our Bianconere and for the opposition as both go in pursuit of their season goals.
The Bianconere got back to winning ways last time out away at Como, and they will be hoping to continue along those lines against Inter on Sunday. Kick off is set for 16:00 CET in Biella, having been moved back an hour from the original 15:00 slot.
Ahead of the game, we’ve looked back at some of the most interesting facts around the fixture.
DERBY DOMINANCE | This Sunday's game is the 11th Derby d'Italia in the women's game, and Juventus are yet to lose one, drawing twice. The most recent win for the Bianconere came back in March in Milan, ending 3-1 then.
RESISTENCE | Of the teams that Juventus have never lost to in Serie A, Inter are the side they have faced the most - ten times, winning eight of those. However, the last two times that Juventus have hosted Inter, the game has ended all square.
GUARANTEED GOALS | Juventus have scored at least two goals in each of their ten Serie A games against Inter. Unsurprisingly, the Bianconere are the side against whom Inter have conceded the most in the league (31).
CARUGOL | Having scored her 50th Juventus goal last time out at Como, Arianna Caruso will be keen to get on the scoresheet again. Inter, along with AC Milan, are the team against whom Caruso has had the most involvements in the last four seasons - scoring twice and assisting three more against them.
THE HEADMASTER | Only Valentina Giacinti (seven) has scored more goals than Cristiana Girelli's six against Inter in Serie A.
