Carlos Tevez says he is delighted with the way the Bianconeri acquitted themselves throughout the course of this evening’s 2-0 win over nearest challengers Lazio.
And the Argentine, who set the hosts on their way with the opening goal in tonight’s triumph, is calling for more of the same when Juventus run out in France on Wednesday night for their decisive Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Monaco.
Chatting to reporters in the mixed zone, the 31-year-old began: “I’m happy, it was a great performance by a strong team. We’ll need an equally top display against Monaco. I said after the Champions League draw that it won’t be an easy one for us.”
With media reports currently linking Tevez with a move back to first club Boca Juniors, the striker sought to set the record straight when quizzed on his future.
“All my thoughts are focused on Juventus, there’s too much talk around. I want to enjoy this extraordinary moment here. People saying I’m going isn’t right: when I decide to leave, the supporters will be the first to know.”
