Juventus wasted no time in heading back to the training pitch after overcoming Udinese 1-0 last night thanks to a goal from Danilo in the closing stages. The Bianconeri’s win was their eighth in a row, a run of form which has also seen them keep successive clean sheets. Saturday’s fixture at the Allianz was like no other, with tributes paid to Ernesto Castano and Gianluca Vialli before, during and after the game.
As for today’s training session, the squad was split into two groups, as per usual for a session the day after a match. Those who featured against Udinese were given a lighter workload while the other players took part in activities with the Under 19s, focusing on drills, possession work, build-up play and finishing off crosses. It was rounded off with a training match with bumpers.
Tomorrow, Monday 9 January, sees Juventus’ squad take a day off, before returning to action at the Training Center on Tuesday. Max Allegri and his staff will then have three days to prepare for their side’s away fixture against Napoli, kicking off at 20:45 on 13 January.
