Chinese supporter Lu Sun was treated to a once in a lifetime experience on Friday afternoon, meeting David Trezeguet and spending two hours showing him the sights and sounds of Shanghai.
The staunch Juventus fan from Zhen Jiang was the lucky winner of the “Two hours with Trezeguet” competition launched exclusively for local fans and saw her dream come true this morning at the team hotel in Shanghai.
Greeting David with a hug and tales of her love of the black and white stripes, Lu led the way during a subsequent tour of the city, starting with the iconic Bund, a waterfront area offering spectacular views of Shanghai.
Next stop was the Lujiazui financial district, where they enjoyed souvenir pictures outside the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai World Financial Centre landmarks, before the excursion came to a close with a walk through Tianzifang, an arts and crafts district popular with tourists.
There was still time for a quick drink in a local bar where David and Lu chatted about their respective lives whilst the Frenchman signed some of her favourite photos of him in Juventus colours
Reflecting on a memorable day, Lu said: “It is a dream come true. I knew Trezeguet would come to China and I told my father that meeting him would make my life complete. I was shaking all over when I got the call informing me that I had won but I wasn’t the least bit nervous when I talked to him. Rather than a super star, he is just like one of us – he is so friendly and kind.”
The two-hour tour was covered live on the Bianconeri’s official Sina Weibo account, which can be viewed**here**.
