Saturday, 19 October 2024, is a date that Vasilije Adzic will never forget, with the 18-year-old coming on for his official debut with Juventus.
We had seen him on the pitch in the friendly in Nuremberg - in his first ever match with our jersey - and later in Pescara, again in a pre-season test against Brest, but he has now featured in an official match for the very first time, coming on off the bench in the second half against Lazio.
ADZIC'S RISE
Having arrived in Turin in the summer, signing a contract until 30 June 2027, Adzic has always been a fast learner, playing in the senior ranks from a young age. It was in April 2022 when, on his professional debut with Buducnost Podgorica, he immediately added his name to the scoresheet, thus becoming the second-youngest scorer in the history of Montenegro's top-flight.
In Montenegro, he won the league (in the 2022/2023 season), playing an important role for his side with 23 appearances and three goals scored. He then played 42 matches the following year, scoring eight goals and contributing four assists.
Vasilije also made his European debut last season, again with Buducnost Podgorica, with two appearances in the Champions League and two in the Conference League, scoring one goal and serving one assist in a total of 86 minutes played in the Conference League.
Congratulations on your debut in Bianconero, Vasilije!
