#VeronaJuve, the statistics

The Bianconeri brought down the curtain on their 2014/15 Serie A campaign with yesterday evening’s 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi.

After striking in the reverse fixture at Juventus Stadium and bulging the net in a 6-1 Coppa Italia demolition a few days later, Roberto Pereyra made it three in as many Juventus appearances against the Gialloblu when he crashed home a magnificent finish to send the visitors into the interval with a one-goal advantage.

Verona forward Luca Toni put further daylight between himself and fellow contenders for the golden boot Carlos Tevez and Mauro Icardi when he polished off a swift break on the counter shortly after the restart, edging on to 22 strikes for the season, two more than the Argentine duo.

Fernando Llorente’s second Serie A goal on the road this campaign restored the Bianconeri’s lead moments later, before Juanito Gomez, scorer of the equaliser in last season’s corresponding fixture, ensured lightning struck twice with a late header.
