Victory for the Bianconeri against Genoa!

Juventus claimed another three points at the Allianz Stadium this week by beating Genoa 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. Kulusevski and Morata opened the scoreline in the first half, before McKennie added a third after he came on as a sub.

KULU & MORATA PUT JUVE AT 2-0

After winning at home in the mid-week against Napoli, the Bianconeri were showing renewed confidence and they put that on display in their patient build-up that saw them grab the lead in the fourth minute. Cuadrado skipped past his marker to burst into the box, he pulled it back to an unmarked Kulusevski, who curled it into the top left-corner. A second goal followed in the 22nd minute when a defensive error by Genoa allowed for Chiesa to break away. He shot at goal but Perin pulled off a great save to palm the ball away, Ronaldo then followed on the rebound and it kissed the crossbar, to bounce in the box as Morata buried the move with ease. Rabiot then attempted an effort which Perin pushed around the pole, before Kulusevski unleashed a low effort that was once again saved.

SCAMACCA STRIKES EARLY

Into the second half and Genoa started it in the same way Juve began the first, with a goal: a corner was bent into the box which saw Scamacca head in past Szczesny. Two more chances fell to the visitors in quick succession: Pjaca had his snapshot beaten away by Szczesny, before then firing again moments later with a dangerous effort in the box that went wide.

SUPER-SUB MCKENNIE

Ronaldo followed up with a chance of his own as he drilled the ball just inches wide of goal. Dybala and McKennie were then introduced into the game, and it was the American who made an immediate impact. Danilo played the ball forward to McKennie, who beat the offside trap, surged towards goal and slotted it past Perin. The former Juve stopper did just enough to turn away Alex Sandro’s effort from going in goal, while Dybala had his effort nodded off the line in the final minutes of stoppage time.
