Women International recap | Cantore on target for Italy

There were smiles all round for the Juventus Women involved in international action on Monday, 2 December, with Sofia Cantore continuing her scoring form on the international stage as well.

Starting with the prestigious friendly between Andrea Soncin's Italy and Germany, it was the Azzurre who emerged victorious, beating their European rivals 2-1 in Bochum. It was a night to remember for Cantore, who scored the decisive goal of the match in the 74th minute. A total of eight Bianconere took to the field in that match, namely Martina Lenzini, Valentina Bergamaschi, Arianna Caruso, Lisa Boattin and Chiara Beccari from the first minute, while Barbara Bonansea, Cantore and Eva Schatzer were brought on off the bench.

Ending in Spain, specifically in Murcia, the Danish national team beat Iceland 2-0, with Amalie Vangsgaard introduced shortly after the hour mark in her team's win.
