As many as 15 Juventus Women players were in international action with their respective nations on Tuesday, 3 December, in both competitive matches to friendlies.
Let’s take a look at how they fared!
SWEDEN WIN BIG AGAINST SERBIA
Having won 2-0 in the first leg away from home - with Hanna Bennison on target then - Sweden won even more convincingly in the second leg at home with a 6-0 win and, once again, Bennison found herself among the goals.
Hanna’s Bianconere teammate Emma Kullberg was again in the matchday squad but was an unused substitute.
FRIENDLY SUCCESS FOR CANADA, SWEDEN AND FRANCE FALL
Days after her international debut, Lysianne Proulx was back on the pitch for Canada in their 5-1 win over South Korea.
Viola Calligaris played the entirety of Switzerland’s narrow but spirited 1-0 defeat against England, while Alisha Lehmann remained on the bench.
Estelle Cascarino played 89 minutes for France in their 4-2 loss against world champions Spain and Pauline Peyraud-Magnin was rested, having played days earlier.
THE UNDER-19s
Sweden also picked up a qualification win at Under-19 level, with Elsa Pelgander playing her part in their 1-0 victory over the Netherlands.
Italy’s U19s beat Turkey 10-0, and Eleonora Ferraresi was among the scorers.
