Women's International Recap | Sembrant on target against Italy

Tuesday was a busy day of women's international football, with the Women's Nations League and friendlies on the agenda for a number of Juventus players.

There were plenty of Bianconere in action in Malmo in what was something of a Juventus derby as Italy faced Sweden. Linda Sembrant, Lisa Boattin, Martina Lenzini and Arianna Caruso all started, while Amanda Nilden remained on the bench and both Cristiana Girelli and Barbara Bonansea were introduced as substitutes. With Italy having taken the lead through Valentina Giacinti, it was Sembrant who scored a stoppage-time equaliser for the hosts.

Estelle Cascarino didn't get on as France drew with Norway, while Lineth Beerensteyn took part as Netherlands won 1-0 away to Scotland.

Gloria Sliskovic started in Bosnia and Herzegovina's 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic leaving them, much like France and Netherlands, top of their group.

Across the Atlantic Ocean, Julia Grosso's Canada beat Brazil 2-0 in a friendly.
