Juventus Women are in action at Verona's Stadio Olivieri on Wednesday for the first leg of their Coppa Italia quarter-final tie. H&D Chievo Women are the opponents – a club formed following a series of mergers over the years. The Bianconere have played here twice in the league before, winning both encounters 2-0.
THE FIRST GOAL
Juve's first visit was on 5 May 2018, when they took on Fimauto Valpolicella. Aurora Galli opened the scoring from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark after Sofia Cantore had drawn a foul in the area.
10 MINUTES FROM TIME
The goal that sealed the win came ten minutes from the end. After some fine work on the wing, Valentina Cernoia whipped in an inviting cross for Arianna Caruso to head home and make it 2-0.
EPIPHANY
The Bianconere were back in Verona on 6 January 2019, with Fimauto Valpolicella Chievo the hosts this time. Following a goalless opening 45 minutes, Juve upped the tempo after the break and took the lead on the hour when Eniola Aluko was quickest to react to a loose ball in the box.
FIRST WIN OF 2019
Benedetta Glionna then added a second to ensure Juve kicked off the new year with a win and maintained top spot in the Serie A standings.
