Juventus may have already wrapped up the Serie A title, but they are not letting their longstanding winning feeling disappear anytime soon, as Sunday’s 2-0 triumph over Carpi shows.
Fresh from scoring the hosts’ second goal of the afternoon, Simone Zaza echoed Massimiliano Allegri’s words that the team has eyes trained solely on maximum points in their last league fixtures in order to enter the Coppa Italia final on 21 May against Milan in the best possible shape.
Likewise, the striker stressed how he treated every appearance in the black and white as an opportunity to keep staking his claim in this history-making side.
“Even if we’ve won the league, we still want to take the three points from each remaining game. I’m also looking to take full advantage of every chance that comes my way.
“I’ve no regrets this season as I’ve always given my all whenever called upon by the coach. I’m satisfied with the fact that we’ve won the league and reached the Coppa Italia final and I’d be doubly pleased if we were to end the campaign with yet another trophy to celebrate.”
