ALLIANZ TRAINING CENTER VINOVO

ALLIANZ TRAINING CENTER: THE HOME OF JUVENTUS WOMEN, JUVENTUS NEXT GEN AND THE BIANCONERI YOUTH TEAMS

When you say the word “Juventus”, you think of more than just the black and white colours and our teams. You think of the many places where our club comes to life on a daily basis.

When you think about Juventus, you also think of Vinovo. Today, it is home to Juventus Women, the Youth Teams and the Next Gen, thanks in part to a significant reorganisation of its space and a recent restyling.

Vinovo is part of Juventus’ history. Since 2006, it has been the training centre for all our teams.

THE INCEPTION

The Vinovo project, created to to host the First Team’s training and more, took its first steps at the beginning of the new millennium, in the early 2000s in fact, some areas (a total of 150,000 square metres) previously owned by the nearby Hippodrome were acquired. Juventus drew up the project and Gilardi Costruzioni headed up the work, and in 2006 the training centre was completed. There are eight pitches encompassed in the structure, which also has an area intended for the media and an entire block dedicated for the youth sector.

THE EXPANSION

In 2009, the centre saw its first major upgrade when the building that houses the area of the offices and changing rooms for the Juventus Youth was expanded in height. In 2013, the J|College was built, which then moved to Continassa, and the nearby refectory.

THE PITCHES

Today, at Vinovo there are still the eight pitches, two of which with grandstands, one with 400 seats and the other, that of the “Ale & Ricky” pitch, capable of seating 200 people and a total of 498 including standing places. This is the pitch where the Under 19s play their matches (as well as the Primavera team in the UEFA Youth League) and the Under 17s, 16s and 15s. In addition, this pitch hosts Juventus Youth training sessions and events for youth football and football schools. It is also one of two synthetic pitches in the Vinovo facility: the others are grass-based and two of them, in particular, where Juventus Women and the Under 23s train, have a heated lawn.

THE LATEST UPGRADES

As previously stated, in total there are eight pitches, and here the everyday lives of Juventus Women, the Under 23s and the entire Youth sector takes place, day after day, from basic activities to Primavera games. After the relocation of the First Team to the JTC Continassa, the latest works were put into effect in 2019. In terms of infrastructure: the building once used as the Media area has become the home of the Juventus Women, whilst the Under 23s occupy the spaces once used by the Men's First Team and the area dedicated to the Youth teams has been upgraded with an office area, as well as a brand new lounge for the players, where J|College once stood.

Since 2024, the name becomes "Allianz Training Center": this continues our strong bond with Allianz, which has been the naming partner of our stadium, the Allianz Stadium, since 2017, and has been present on the back of the Women's First Team shirts since 2020.
