The October international break is upon us, with several Bianconeri – 16 to be exact – receiving the call-up to represent their respective countries on the international stage.
Continental silverware is on the line for six Italian members of the Juventus team, namely Federico Bernardeschi, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Chiesa, Moise Kean and Manuel Locatelli, who will face off against Spain (06 October) in the first semi-final of the Nations League.
The second semi-final involves Belgium and Adrien Rabiot’s France, and takes place in our very own Allianz Stadium on Thursday (07 October). The two victorious semi-finalists will battle for glory in the Nations League gold medal match on Sunday evening (10 October).
There are 2022 World Cup Qualifying appointments for Aaron Ramsey, whose Welsh team take on the Czech Republic (08 October) and Estonia (11 October), as well as Matthijs de Ligt, who hopes to feature when the Netherlands line up against Latvia (08 October) and Gibraltar (11 October).
In other World Cup qualifying fixtures taking place in Europe, Wojciech Szczesny’s Poland will be in action against San Marino (09 October) and Albania (12 October), while Dejan Kulusevski will be in the colours of Sweden for their match-ups against Kosovo (09 October) and Greece (12 October).
In South America, several Bianconeri will go head-to-head, starting with Juan Cuadrado’s Colombia taking to the field against Rodrigo Bentacur’s Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier (08 October).
Brazilian duo Alex Sandro and Danilo have Venezuela in their sights first-up (08 October), before then meeting club teammates Cuadrado (Colombia, 10 October) and then Bentacur (Uruguay, 15 October) in successive matches. Colombia will also face Ecuador (14 October) while Uruguay also play Argentina (11 October).
World Cup qualifiers are also taking place in North America, where Weston McKennie’s United States of America are scheduled to face Jamaica (08 October), Panama (11 October) and Costa Rica (14 October).
