On 27 June 1956, Umberto Agnelli became the club’s youngest ever president at just 22 years of age and his arrival at the helm of his beloved Bianconeri would mark the beginning of a golden era for Juventus.
Under Agnelli's guidance, Juve accrued world-class talents like John Charles, Omar Sivori and Giampiero Boniperti to go on and lift her tenth Scudetto title enabling them to proudly wear their first star, Agnelli’s very own concept, on the black and white stripes.
During his first spell in charge, the Old Lady lifted four further trophies: two Coppa Italia titles, but above all recorded back-to-back Scudetto victories in 1960 and 1961. He left the following year, but only after witnessing Argentinian star Sivori win the Ballon d’Or.
Thirty-two years later, in 1994, ‘Il Dottore’ returned as president to head up an extraordinary revolution which led Juventus to domestic, European and world domination.
