Today is a special day. Among the current Juventus players is a champion, a legend, a captain, who joins an elite club that, so far, has only five members.
We can call it the 500 Club, made up of some of the greatest players who are etched in Juventus history, having made more than 500 appearances in our iconic shirt.
A prestigious Club, which from today has a new member: Leonardo Bonucci, who with his latest appearance against Sevilla, becomes its sixth member, joining club legends Alessandro Del Piero, Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Gaetano Scirea and Giuseppe Furino.
Reading the list of names above puts into perspective the great milestone Leo has achieved.
Who knows if he had any idea, when he arrived in Turin as a 23-year-old in 2010, how many incredible pages of our history he would write.
Our history and, obviously, his: they have been truly memorable years, in which we experienced extraordinary adventures together, achieved records that no one should and must not forget, creating a unique legacy that may not ever be matched.
And in all of this, Leo was able to add another special chapter to his career, becoming a European Champion with Italy in 2021 (and even scoring in the final).
The numbers are infinite, the statistics speak for themselves and his CV too, but this is not the moment to list them: there will be a time and a place for that.
Right now, there is nothing more to do but stand up and give Leo an endless round of applause.
