Among the most important previous matches between Juventus and Paris Saint Germain was the one on 6 April 1993 - not only because of what was at stake, given that it was the first leg of the Uefa Cup semi-final, but because of the emotions that were experienced by everyone at the Delle Alpi that night.

PSG STRIKE FIRST

The above photo perfectly reflects the nerves felt by all the players. Gianluca Vialli and Fabrizio Ravanelli arguing with the opposing goalkeeper Bernard Lama. It was the second half and the Bianconeri were 1-0 down from a goal by George Weah. The future Milan player cut though the Juventus defence to appear all alone in front of Michelangelo Rampulla before depositing the ball into the net.

BAGGIO DELIVERS THE GOODS

Until 1993, Roberto Baggio had often been accused of being the classic beautiful player to watch but unable to win anything. A weight that at times appeared to hold him down but from which he finally freed himself against PSG. The number 10 stepped up his game and dragged the team to a great comeback.

ROBERTO TO THE DOUBLE

Baggio struck a double that reversed the situation. What's more he did in displaying all his skill.

Ten minutes into the second half he coordinated himself perfectly and from outside the area struck a screamer that whistled into the top corner. But the best was still to come in the dying seconds.

"Roberto Baggio unleashes an inch-perfect free kick," shouted legendary Italian journalist Bruno Pizzul in the commentary booth. The photo bears witness to the precise description.

GOLDEN BOY

After the closing credits of Juventus-Psg, as often happens in films, there was an additional scene. Baggio in Paris, blurred in the foreground is the 1993 Ballon d'Or. In focus, the Divin Codino because his class led Juve to add that Uefa Cup to the club's trophy cabinet.
