Alisha Lehmann is, at last, a Juventus player. Having travelled to Turin from her native Switzerland to finalise her signing, after spending the last few years playing in England, she took the time to share her thoughts and feelings about joining the Bianconere.
“I'm overjoyed, Juve is a club with a great history. So much so that I have to be honest: I was a bit nervous when I got out of my car for my medical check-up at J|Medical and saw so many fans. But everything is great”.
A PATH TO MATURITY
“I have spent my entire career in England and have learnt a lot over these years. I arrived there as a little girl, now I am more mature. In the last few years, I learnt to understand the different moments within the game, and I believe I can bring what I've learned through these experiences to Juve.”
But what will Alisha bring to the Bianconere on the pitch? “First of all, I inject pace: I like dribbling, sprinting and of course scoring goals," she said. "But I also like providing assists for my teammates. I am happy to be a team player, which is another characteristic I have learnt to adopt over my career.”
A UNIQUE ADVENTURE
Alisha joins her partner Douglas Luiz in Turin, who has officially been a Juventus player for a few days now.
“For Douglas and I to be together at the same club is a dream. We have often played in different cities, so being able to be in the same place is wonderful.”
