Allegri: Playing in Lecce is complicated

Juventus travel to Puglia to take on Lecce at the "Via del Mare" Stadium in Matchday 21 of this season's Serie A championship. Coach Massimiliano Allegri previewed the game ahead of the team's take-off on Saturday afternoon.

TEAM UPDATES

"The team is well, they have trained well these days. For this match, however, Rabiot and Chiesa will be absent: Adrien due to a calf strain, Federico because he has suffered a flare-up of his knee problem and will need to be evaluated in the next few days."

A CHALLENGE IN LECCE

"Playing in Lecce will be complicated. Our opponents played some good games against Inter and Lazio, we will need maximum attention. They are a team that defends very well and in the last four home games they have always achieved a result. Our first objective will be to keep a clean sheet since we have not managed to do so in the last four away games."

TEAM CHOICES

"Two of Milik, Yildiz and Vlahovic will play. All three are well and whoever takes over from the bench will also be fundamental, as always. Dusan is playing in a more serene and calm way and this path will lead him to complete technical maturity. Cambiaso? Andrea has grown a lot, I'm happy. He is a player who can play different roles, he is technically solid and has become an important player for us."

JUVENTUS' OBJECTIVE

"Inter is a strong team, they have collected 51 points in the first twenty days of the championship and are the favourites for the Scudetto. We are growing, but we know that winning in Lecce is complicated: winning afterwards is always easy, but the matches must be played first. I repeat, then, that our objective continues to be qualification for the next edition of the Champions League. There are horses that need blinders and others that don't: those who need them usually look at others and the blinders are used to keep them focused on what's in front of them. We haven't done anything so far, we're only halfway there. Against Sassuolo I really liked the team because they won a tricky match playing with great serenity. Football thrives on balance and it is essential to always maintain it."
