Juventus host Torino at the Allianz Stadium on Friday, with kick-off at 20h45 CET. Massimilano Allegri looked forward to the all-city showdown in the pre-match press conference.

STYLE GUIDE

“After Verona and Atalanta, we’re playing a third team in quick succession that plays the same way tactically in Torino. They are three teams that play a physical style of football. We must match them physically. Let’s hope we’ve learned something from the first two games.

“Playing against Atalanta wasn’t easy. The strange thing about football is that when you draw, it is made out to be two points dropped. That was an important result if we win the derby.”

GRANATA SPIRIT

“Juric did very well at Verona and he’s doing equally well at Torino. There’s more than one way to win, it depends at which club you're at and Juric is a perfect fit at Torino.

“Torino always play with the heart and they’ll make it tough for us tomorrow. What’s more, they are coming off the back of two undeserved defeats, so they’ll be even more determined.”

PLAYER UPDATE

“Because of a calf strain, Leonardo Bonucci is out. We wait and see if he’ll be available for the Champions League on Tuesday. Federico Bernardeschi has a muscle inflammation that we don’t want to run too many risks with, and Giorgio Chiellini is still ruled out. Also, Danilo is suspended.

“Juan Cuadrado will play full-back, while I still need to decide who’ll play between Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean on the left side of attack. The doubts in midfield are between Denis Zakaria and Weston McKennie and also between Manuel Locatelli and Arthur.”

TEAM BUILDING

“Now that I’ve been here for six or seven months the players and myself know each other better. Individual goals have been set aside in exchange for team objectives.

“We must concentrate on the moment. We have three exciting months ahead of us to look forward to in a bid to achieve something extraordinary.”
