Juventus travel to San Siro to face Milan on Sunday evening. Massimiliano Allegri set the scene ahead of the match that wraps up Serie A Match Day 23.
POSITIVE PATCH
“We are enjoying a positive period but the road is still long. We have so many matches ahead of us, but we’re still behind in the standings. So, it’s important for our league position that we do well. It’s not a matter of beating one of the top four. It’s the three points that are important. We must do well and remain in the chase come the end of February, but we can’t think too far ahead.”
MILAN THREAT
"Milan have made great progress over the last year and half. Credit to Stefano [Pioli] for the job he’s done there. They have moved in an organised way and have chosen good players. We know it won’t be easy - Milan are dangerous both on the counter attack and in the air."
PLAYER FOCUS
"Paulo Dybala is relaxed, which helps him feel free to express himself on the pitch, and he is beginning to hit form. From now until the end of the season, he’ll give us a lot.
"Moise Kean has scored some important goals. Like everyone else, he’s alternated good performances with less impressive matches. I’m happy with him, though. Let’s not forget he’s only 21.
"Arthur has come back in after six months on the sidelines. He needed to rediscover his match rhythm. Now he’s playing well. He’s a starter for Brazil, so his quality is not in question, but he needs a certain type of player alongside him."
YOUTH OPPORTUNITY
"We’re coming off nine fabulous seasons. Last season we won both domestic cups. This year, without Cristiano Ronaldo, there’s more space for younger players - we’ve played games with as many as six players between 20 and 23 years old. Youth gives you strength and they can only gain experience by playing."
