AGREEMENT WITH ASCOLI PICCHIO FOR THE DEFINITIVE ACQUISITION OF THE PLAYER ANDREA FAVILLI
Turin, 15 June 2018 - Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with Ascoli Picchio F.C. S.p.A. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Andrea Favilli has been finalized for a consideration of € 7.5 million payable in two financial years. The purchase value may increase of maximum € 1.25 million on achieving given conditions within 30 June 2021.
This acquisition will generate economic and financial effects starting from 2018/2019 sportive season. Juventus and the player have signed a 5-year contract of employment until 30 June 2023.
Born in Pisa in 1997, having started in the Livorno youth ranks, Favilli is a player that Juventus fans will already be aware of after the striker scored 22 goals in the 2015/16 Primavera season.
That was also a special campaign for him, as Favilli made his senior squad debut, coming on a substitute away at Frosinone in Serie A on 7 February 2016.
In the summer of the same year Favilli moved to Ascoli, with whom he played two seasons in Serie B, putting together 44 appearances and scoring 16 goals in all competitions.
The young striker said of his return:
"This is the team that gave me a great opportunity a few years ago. Coming home is always nice. Last season was a bit unlucky, but I worked hard and now I'm fine and I'm ready for the new season."
