Andrea Barzagli has called on the Bianconeri to put the joy of Saturday’s Derby della Mole triumph behind them and focus on their important upcoming games, starting with Tuesday’s Champions League Group D trip to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Speaking to Rai 1, the defender said: “It was a really tough match and coming away with all three points was crucial for us. Winning in the last few seconds is even sweeter, but now we need to already start looking forward.”
Barzagli claims problems with consistency lie at the heart of a stop-start introduction to the season but remains convinced that once the team regains its stride, the good times will roll again in Turin.
He concluded: “We hope to be able to find the consistency that’s been lacking for several reasons. We’ve changed a great deal and need to become more of a team and play better, but all this can only come with time.”
