The October international break is upon us, meaning a host of Juventus will be away on national team duty. In total, 14 Juventus First Team players have been called up by their respective countries, with various important qualifiers scheduled over the next week.
The first to take to the field will be Fabio Miretti on 12 October with Italy Under 21s, as they warm up for their upcoming European qualifier with a friendly encounter against the Italian U-18 side. On the same day, Wojciech Szczęsny and Arek Milik‘s Poland face off against the Faroe Islands in a EURO 2024 qualifier, while Samuel Iling-Junior will look to help his England U-21 side to victory in their EURO U-21 qualifier against Serbia.
October 13th sees Adrien Rabiot's France take on the Netherlands in their top-of-the-table Group B European Championship qualifier, while Danilo and Gleison Bremer will be involved in World Cup qualifying action with Brazil, who face Venezuela in their third qualifier.
Four Bianconeri, namely Federico Chiesa, Federico Gatti, Moise Kean and Manuel Locatelli, have been called up to the Italian national team, who take on Malta in their Group C European Championship qualifier on 14 October. At the same time, Filip Kostic's Serbia take on Hungary in their top-of-the table Group G qualifier, with both teams sitting on 10 points. is also heading towards the European Championship and faces Hungary at the same time as the Azzurri. Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah, meanwhile, will be involved in USA’s high-profile friendly encounter against Germany.
The second round of fixtures for our Bianconeri kicks off with Poland taking on Moldova in their EURO qualifier on 15 October, while the following day, Iling Jr’s England U-21 side will take on Ukraine in their final EURO U-21 qualifier of the month.
17 October will be a busy day for our Bianconeri, starting off with our Italian quartet involved in a big EURO qualifying clash against England, with Miretti also in action as Italy U-21s take on Norway in their sole qualifier of the month. On the same evening, Rabiot's France take on Scotland in a friendly, while Serbia face Montenegro, Kostic looking to help his side to European qualifying victory.
In South America, Danilo and Bremer will be involved in a high-profile World Cup qualifying clash between Uruguay and Brazil, while McKennie and Weah see out the international break with USA’s friendly encounter against Ghana.
