HENRY'S FAREWELL

The photo above is similar, only the black and white shirts are differentiated by the evident red numbers. A moment of joy from when Juventus played Venezia in 1999, on the day that brought the curtain down on the championship. The hosts won 3-2 thanks to goals from Antonio Conte, Filippo Inzaghi and Thierry Henry, his last in Serie A.

COMEBACK JOY

Another celebration from a Juventus-Venezia fixture, but this photo in black and white was from a much more important match. Giampaolo Menichelli leaps for joy after a goal from Giancarlo Bercellino, number 4, who actually netted a double in this meeting from 1967. Despite trailing, the Bianconeri collected a 2-1 victory to claw back a point on leaders Inter, which would prove decisive in snatching the crown on the last day of the season.

93rd MINUTE

The penultimate success of Juventus over Venezia was dated October 3, 1999. A decidedly problematic match due to a poor performance from Juve, so much so a sense of discontent stirred among the Delle Alpi faithful. That was until Antonio Conte lifted everyone's spirits with a goal that rewarded the Lady all three points.

DAVID IN 100 SECONDS

Let's turn the clock back to 2001-02. The standout performer of Juventus-Venezia that day was David Trezeguet. The opening day of the tournament saw the Frenchman open with a brace, bagged in just 100 seconds between the tenth and the eleventh minute. The first goal on his way to the top scorer's crown was appropriately with a header.

PAVEL'S DEBUT

Not only Trezeguet scored twice in that Juventus-Venezia, so did Alessandro Del Piero. That late August afternoon there were already signs that the summer arrivals, presented for the first time to the Turin public, were already feeling at home. Among those that produced an excellent performance was Pavel Nedved, who came close to a debut goal as he displayed all his fervour, a constant feature of his time in the shirt of Juventus.
