Bologna-Juventus, a classic of Italian football. There are countless photos that illustrate the many stories embedded in these past challenges, like this one of Roberto Bettega, a goalscorer in this particular match-up in 1980, with Omar Sivori watching on.
Below you'll find a handful of beautiful Bologna-Juve images, all strictly, of course, in black and white.
FROM ONE SCUDETTO TO ANOTHER
Bologna-Juventus kicked off the 1972/73 season, the Bianconeri arriving in town with their latest Scudetto displayed proudly on their chest.
They began the new season well, Franco Causio and Pietro Anastasi (pictured) finding the back of the net in a 2-0 victory - the perfect start to another league-winning campaign.
FOUR-SCORE
In 1976, Juventus recorded their biggest league win at the Dall'Ara for over two decades. Opening the scoring with a header was Sergio Gori – who sadly recently passed away – before an own goal by goalkeeper Mancini and a brace by Bettega secured the 4-1 victory.
EVEN-STEVENS
In 1978/79 Bologna-Juventus ended goalless. In this photo, Romeo Benetti, who was always ready for battle.
A FABULOUS FIVE
A particularly memorable 1980/81 Bologna-Juve, as the visitors demolished the hosts 5-1. The image above shows Antonio Cabrini's left-footed strike which gave home keeper Oriano Boschin no chance to make it 4-0.
Also on the scoresheet were Bettega, Liam Brady (a brace) and Pierino Fanna.
