Massimiliano Allegri expressed his satisfaction with Juve's display against Bologna as they started the new year with a comfortable 2-0 victory to advance to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. “I'm pleased with our performance tonight and the fact we're through to the next round,” the coach began in the wake of the match at the Dall'Ara. “We had several chances to make it 2-0 after scoring the first goal but didn't take them. We got off to a good start in the second half, though. Considering it was our first game back after the break I think we played well.” Allegri added that he was happy with the likes of Moise Kean, who scored Juve's second of the night, and Leonardo Spinazzola as they were given a rare runout. “Moise is young and needs to improve but he played well. Spinazzola did too in his first game back after a long spell on the sidelines. “I could see that [Federico] Bernardeschi was in good mental and physical shape. Douglas Costa also did well. They'll be very important now with [Mario] Mandzukic out at the moment.” The boss then looked ahead to Wednesday's meeting with AC Milan in Jeddah. “It's a one-off game but we've trained well and we're in good shape. We're ready for it."
