They are born within you – a simply unique naturalness reserved for a very lucky few.
Barbara Bonansea is one of them. Her love for Juventus was born when she was just a little girl; her dream to one day play football wearing the jersey of her favourite team: Juventus.
Wednesday 18 December 2024 was a special, unforgettable evening for BB. The match against Valerenga saw her chalk up her 200th appearance for the Juventus Women’s First Team, celebrating with yet another victory in her stellar career.
But today isn’t about us.
Today is all about Barbara: the six-year-old Barbara and today’s Barbara who, at the age of 33, can say she has the same enthusiasm as she did when she was a child hoping to fulfil her lifelong dream.

Dear Juventus,
My name is Barbara and I’m 6 years old.
I decided to play football because it’s what makes me happiest.
My mum and dad are so happy I followed my brother Giorgio's passion.
I don’t know any other girls who play football and I feel a bit out of place, different.
But everyone tells me I’m good and that I shouldn’t stop if I like it.
So, I play all day at home, in the garden, at the park with my friends and on the pitch with the coach who helps me.
I don’t know what will happen when I grow up, but I dream about you.
I’m daydreaming when I watch your matches and see the champions playing in your beautiful jersey.
I dream and hope that one day I, too, will feel the thrill of pulling on that jersey and wearing your badge on my chest with love and respect.
Dear Juventus,
I’m BB. I’m 33 years old and I never could have thought –
