Leonardo Bonucci believes Juventus should have taken something from this afternoon’s Derby della Mole, lamenting their bad luck in front of goal during the Bianconeri's 2-1 reverse at the Stadio Olimpico.
After taking the lead in the 57th minute, Torino had to weather a black and white siege as the visitors upped the pressure on their goal, with Alessandro Matri hitting the woodwork twice and Stefano Sturaro drawing a miraculous stop from Daniele Padelli.
And Bonucci thinks that with a little more fortune in the final third and greater attention towards the end of the first half, the match could have taken on a different direction entirely.
Discussing the encounter with reporters, the defender said: “We’d yet to see a team hit the woodwork three times in this year’s Serie A. It was an unlucky game for us. Now we need four more points and we hope we’re able to pick them up as soon as possible.
“They did well in putting their chances away. We created a great deal but lacked patience after Andrea’s goal. They wouldn’t have been able to score if we had been better with the ball.”
