Canzi: I'm happy with how things are going

Juventus Women’s preparations for 2024/25 are ramping up as the beginning of the season approaches. With a friendly set for Saturday, 3 August against Serviette (which you can watch live on our YouTube channel), Coach Massimiliano Canzi sat for an interview to share his thoughts on what’s to come.

The boss looked ahead to Servette, but also beyond the game and towards the trip to the USA as well.

"Things have been full-on so far. I arrived with a lot of curiosity and a strong desire to get going. I'm happy with how the first few weeks have gone, with the people I'm working with and with the players, as well as the organisation of the Club."

How pre-season is going

“The girls are working really well, I’ve noticed that they’ve all put themselves at the disposal of the team and they’re keen to learn and improve. We’re working a lot physically, and technically we’re working on the attacking phase of the game but without forgetting about the defensive work that we need to do.”

Servette

“We’ll play against a high-level opponent tomorrow, and I’m expecting a game of a good level, even if we know that we can’t expect to be at our very sharpest just yet. We’re still a work-in-progress, but I expect to see signs tomorrow of commitment and intensity when we’re without the ball. It’ll be important to get minutes in the legs.”

Then, the USA

“The tour will be a unique experience, we’ll have the chance to play against top teams and it’ll allow us to understand where we are internationally.”
