It was perfect night for the Bianconeri on international duty, as Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal, Blaise Matuidi's France, Merih Demiral's Turkey and Rodrigo Bentancur's Uruguay all won their respective matches. Not only that but each of the teams went without conceding a goal!
FOUR GAMES, FOUR WINS
In Euro 2020 qualifying, Portugal kept the pressure on Group B leaders, Ukraine with a 3-0 win over Luxembourg in Lisbon. Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half, before Cristiano Ronaldo scored Portugal's second and his all-time 699th goal! Goncalo Guedes wrapped up the match in the 89th minute.
In Group H both the Bianconeri contigent's nations remain level on points at the top, after both Turkey and France secured 1-0 wins. Blaise Matuidi's Les Bleus won 1-0 away at third-place Iceland, courtsey of an Olivier Giroud penalty, whilst late drama in Istanbul saw Merih Demiral's Turkey score a 90th minute winner through Cenk Tosun.
Finally, Rodrigo Bentancur's Uruguay recorded a 1-0 win over fellow South American side, Peru in the first a friendly double-header between the two in Montevideo. Brian Rodriguez got the game's only goal in the slender victory.
TONIGHT'S APPOINTMENTS
Tonight, Euro 2020 qualifying Group J will see Italy with Leonardo Bonucci and Federico Bernardeschi in the squad taking on Greece in Rome in a bid to maintain their 100% record, whilst Miralem Pjanic's Bosnia and Herzegovina host second-place, Finland.
Juan Cuadrado's Colombia are also in action as they play a friendly vs. Chile in Alicante, Spain.
