Francisco Conceicao met the media at the Allianz Stadium on Thursday, 12 September, sharing his thoughts and feelings following his August move to Juventus.

SETTLING IN AT JUVE

“I'm getting on very well. From the very first day, both the staff and my teammates have welcomed me warmly, making me feel at ease; I have been very well received by everyone. The group is very close-knit and welcoming, so far due to the language barrier I have spoken more with the Brazilians, but I'm trying to integrate better with all my teammates. Now my main goal is continuing this good start and focusing on working to improve more and more. Juventus as an organisation is extraordinary, but it’s what I expected. We are talking about the club with the most titles in Italy, and a history and structure like that is the basis for great success. I was very impressed by how everything is perfectly organised, from my very first days here I understood that we are provided with the perfect conditions to be successful here.

WHY THE BIANCONERI

“When a prestigious club like Juventus calls, you can't help but want to join as quickly as possible. From the moment I heard about their interest, I wanted to come here to contribute to the team's goals. I have no doubt that I made the best choice, and now I want to give it my all.

WORKING WITH THIAGO MOTTA

“I firmly believe that my strengths are dribbling, one-on-one duels and having the courage to take the initiative on the pitch. I believe that, under Thiago Motta's guidance, I will improve a lot. From the first training session, I have realised that he will push me to reach a higher level, and I look forward to working with him to learn as much as possible. I'm working hard every day to recover as best I can; I'm calm and confident that I'll be back on the pitch soon. As for which position to play, the coach will decide, but I feel especially comfortable on the right and I'm ready to give my best in any role; Thiago Motta didn't ask me anything specific, but he told me to enjoy this experience. During the week we worked a lot on tactics, looking for the best way to help the team.

FRANCISCO WAS HERE…

“In 2021 I played at the Allianz Stadium against Juventus in the Champions League, but because of Covid, the stadium was empty and I couldn't feel the atmosphere. However, playing against Roma recently, I could really feel the energy of the fans and it was incredible. I realised how important they are for the team: their support is crucial.”
