Juventus begin the defence of their Coppa Italia with a Round of 16 clash at home to Cagliari on Tuesday evening.

- Juventus have won their last two Coppa Italia matches against Cagliari, both by a score of 1-0, in 2012 and 1989.
- Cagliari have won only one of their last 27 matches (21L, 5D) against Juventus in all competitions, drawing the two most recent encounters.
- Since 2010, Juventus have scored 60 goals against Cagliari in 27 matches in all competitions: fewer only than against Lazio (72) and Udinese (66). Only once have the Bianconeri failed to find the back of the net in this period against the Sardinians: on 29 July 2020 (0-2).
- Only against AC Milan have Cagliari lost more games (47) in Serie A than against Juventus (45); moreover, the Sardinians have conceded 128 goals against the Bianconeri in the top flight, and have only conceded more against the Rossoneri (135), Roma (139) and Inter (149).

- Juventus is, with AC Milan, one of the two teams to have participated in the Round of 16 of the Coppa Italia the most (51 prior to this season); the Bianconeri have won all of the Last 16 matches played in this round from 2009 onwards.
