Paolo De Ceglie says the Bianconeri cannot afford to underestimate Cesena on Sunday night at the Dino Manuzzi.
The academy graduate, who recently returned from a loan spell at Parma, says the levels of concentration displayed during last weekend’s big match with Milan will also be required to fend off a side fighting for their Serie A survival.
Speaking to Laura Barriales on Jtv’s Filo Diretto, De Ceglie began: “We mustn’t allow ourselves to ease off because the last few years have shown us that every game counts when you want to win a league. Our match in Cesena will therefore be just as important as last Saturday’s against Milan.”
The 28-year-old claims Juventus are well positioned to go all the way, pointing to an increased hunger for success he has witnessed within the ranks.
“Since I’ve come back I’ve noticed even more eagerness amongst the squad and we need to maintain this desire if we’re going to clinch the title.”
De Ceglie admitted he is excited at the prospect of pulling on the Juventus shirt again after missing the place he has come to call home.
He concluded: “It’s always a real thrill to wear the black and white stripes, even more so now seeing as it’s been a while since I last put them on. I missed Juventus because I grew up here and have become the player and person I am at this club.”
