With a Coppa Italia semi-final tie to overturn in Florence on Tuesday night, there was no rest for Juventus on Easter Sunday.
Fresh from last night’s victory over Empoli, in which goals from Carlos Tevez and Roberto Pereyra maintained the team’s 14-point lead at the top of the table, the Bianconeri were back in Vinovo this morning to knuckle down with their preparations for the upcoming tie at the Artemio Franchi.
Trailing 2-1 from the first leg, Massimiliano Allegri’s men know they will have to be at the races if they are to overcome a strong Fiorentina outfit on home turf, and immediately set about formulating their game plan today at Juventus Center.
Those who featured last night against Empoli underwent a warm-down in the gym, while the rest of the group conducted a regular session out on the training pitches. Linking up for a full session with the first-team squad was Claudio Marchisio, who has overcome the injury he sustained whilst on international duty.
Tomorrow will see the Bianconeri apply the finishing touches to their preparations ahead of an afternoon departure for Florence, with Allegri to discuss the encounter beforehand at midday CET.
