Umberto Agnelli died exactly 11 years ago, on 27 May 2004. His name will be forever linked with Juventus, as he ran the club from 1955 – first as special commissioner, then as president the following year – until 1962. In that time, the Bianconeri won three Scudetti, in 1958 (number 10), 1960 and 1961.
Umberto Agnelli would return to the helm of Juve in 1994, beginning another era of trophies both at home and abroad. These included the Champions League in 1996, which came after a league and cup double in 1995. That was the most recent double before the one the club have just secured. It's only fitting then that we dedicate this season's Serie A and Coppa Italia success to him on the anniversary of his death.
